The good, embarrassing, and the bad..

The good:
Zack is coming home from working in Tucson soon!
We have a romantic dinner planned for Friday!
I am getting ready to register Kyle for Kindergarten (mixed emotions!)
I have lost 3 pounds! Woot woot!

The embarrassing:
I ran into my Gyno at a WINE BAR! What the heck? I love her to death - she is such a cool/amazing woman! She is an angel to me - brought me through one of most terrifying moments of my life during my cancer scare. She is a single strong woman who travels the world with her office friends! Next month she is staying in a Castle in Scottland! Love it! Nothing like chatting about your paps over a glass of Pinot Nior! HA!

The bad:
I have not stuck to my workout schedule - bad bad bad )= - I was thrown off when Kyle had the tummy flu last week.
HOWEVER - I'm back on track this week (= Ran/walked for 40 mins on treadmil on Monday.

Also Heath Ledger passed away - so sad )= He was a great actor
RIP Heath!

Chicken Liver!

Senor Gigglepants is a name that I often call Kyle - he has this uncontrollable giggle at times that is soooo funny and it goes on for a long time - it could make anyone laugh! He laughs at the funniest things - like when he is reinacting a scene from one of his movies - or sometimes he will just yell "CHICKEN LIVER" jump off the sofa and run off giggling - "Chicken Liver" is a term Kyle has been using since he could speak - not sure where he got it - but he thinks is the funniest thing ever - believe it or not his teacher once told me that he got his whole class saying "chicken liver" and now all the kids are running around saying it! I can only wonder what their parents think when they come home from school saying "CHICKEN LIVER"!

No only does Kyle crack himself up - he cracks me up all the time by saying the funniest things - I've often thought of putting a book together - not to sell but to be able to reflect back on - here are a few that I love:

When I'm getting my hair done he say's "Mamas getting her hair painted"

When driving by a speed limit sign he will say "5-0 what the heck !"

He calls his swimming trunks his "babysuit"

When driving through the mountains in the summer time he said "mama look at all the beautiful Christmas trees" - so cute!

While walking into target one day he said "Santa lives here - look at all the stuff he made for everyone"

Kyle had his soccer ball under his shirt and he was rubbing his belly - I asked what he was doing - he said "mama there is a baby in my belly - it's a boy - and it's coming out in 16 mins." - he's very creative can you tell?!

While driving I was showing Kyle the moon - it was a beautiful cresent - I explained that the moon was not full tonight - that it was a cresent - he looked at me and said "Well maybe he needs to est something so he will be full again!"

When reading an animal book I asked him what sound frog makes and he said "ribbet ribbet" then we turned the page and I asked him what sound a bunny makes - Kyle quickly said "rabbit rabbit"!

That is all I can think of right now - I know there are so many more ....it's a start I'll add more as I go...

Om Shanthi. Shanthi. Shanthi.

I have a new love in my life.....YOGA! I have taken Yoga before - however this class was different - it was very soulful and rythmic - and very centering....I have always wondered why yoga instructors say "namaste" after leading a yoga class...well here is the reason..

Namaste represents the belief that there is a Divine spark within each of us that is located in the heart chakra. The gesture is an acknowledgment of the soul in one by the soul in another. "Nama" means bow, "as" means I, and "te" means you. Therefore, Namaste literally means "bow me you" or "I bow to you."

Namaste...

KAUAI ADVENTURES! LIVE ALOHA!

Zack and I survived the flight over to Kauai, Hawaii with Kyle - he was actually really good -thank goodness for portable DVD players! You would never believe there would be roosters on a tropical island right? Well we got to Kauai late at night and went to bed - only to be awaken by COCK-A-DOODLE-DO! I woke up out out my sleepy slumber thinking "you gotta be kidding me - there are roosters on this island - and there is one doing his cock-a-doodle-doo thing like a foot from our window!" and wait a second are'nt roosters supposed to do their cock-a-doodle-do thing like at 6am NOT 3am?? These roosters must have had one to many Mai Tais or are smoking the island green! Good lord! My little suburb son was not to crazy about it either - he kept saying "MAMA TURN IT OFF!" poor little guy -not used to these farm roosters at all! There are roosters EVERYWHERE on Kauai - on the sidewalks, streets, even the beaches! Supposedly a hurricane hit Kauai a few years agos and dispersed them all over the island...too bad they did not get sucked up into that hurricane! We eventually got used to it and now I'm missing those little guys a little - well maybe not!

I feel like I could write forever about Kauai - however it might be quite boring for you to read - so I'm going to go ahead and list some of my most fav and memorable things!

- Seeing Kyle play with his cousins Andrew and Alex on the beach! He had a blast! Even asked if we could move to Hawaii! He also worships his Auntie Niki - he was always wanting to cuddle with her and sit on her lap!

- Zack and I took all the boys for a bit and headed to a state beach down a really bumpy road - it was worth the drive soooooo beautiful and amazing. We took the boys to shave ice and the Shrimp Shack - it was really fun!

- We all headed to a luau - the boys got their faces painted like Hawaiian warriors - we ate poi and sucked on Mai Tais - Andrew, Kyle, and Uncle Chris got on stage to do the hula! It was so cute and funny!

- We visited Hanalei - SO BEAUTIFUL - we drove through rainforests - Visited Ke'e Beach and some lava tunnels

- Zack and I fell in love with longboarding in Poipu - now we want to by longboards even though we are in Arizona - San Diego is close!

- Zack and I also went on several walks/jogs - these were adventures in themselves - we came upon a seal on the beach along with a pig being roasted!

- We also got to go to Duke's twice - once in Waikiki and once in Kauai!
- I pigged out on my typical Hawaiian faves - Poi, POG, Poke, Mai Tais, Mahi Mahi, pineapple, shave ice!

-And how could I almost forget the Sugar Cane train! This was Kyles highlight for sure considering he is OBSESSED with trains - it was a dream come ture for him!

Whew!! I think that's almost all of my activities - not bad for a week in Hawaii! Sorry the pics are a little out of order - still getting used to this blogging thing!

Much Aloha!
