It's getting hot in here....

Even though I've lived in the desert for some time now I am still shocked when I drive by the local bank and look at their temp/clock and see that it reads 122 degrees!! The local news said it was 115 this weekend and the bank read 122 - all I know is that it's REALLY hot!
I have been getting a lot grumbeling about how I need to post more pictures since I have that new fab camera!! I will I promise!! I just need to figure out how to download the pics off of it!! haha! Within the next few days I promise!!
We have been staying very busy this last week with bbq'ing, pool time, haircuts for the dog and Kyle, seeing the movie KungFu Panda, playing the occasional game of Rock Band, swim lessons - Kyle moved up a level and is doing awesome - he can dive for rings and do big arms and as long as he can touch the bottom of the pool hes fine - he officially announced that he does not want to play soccer anymore - he wants to swim - and I don't blame him in this heat! Kyle also recently had a bout of tonsilitis and is feeling much better now! It was strange because he was acting totally fine except he woke up one morning and he looked like he had golf balls under his ears on either side of his neck! It scared the heck out of me - Kyle laughed and though he looked like Franenstein. While we were at the Dr. he got weighed and measured - he's 48 pounds and 4 feet! The charts say he will be 6 foot 6 but the time he's 18!! So weird to think he may be towering over me as a teenager! We are planning to take Kyle camping soon - he loves it so much - ans he calls the "tent" the "tenant" - too cute!

Zack and I are headed to San Diego (Pacific Beach) for July 3 - July 6th - then to Temecula (wine country)! I am sooooo excited to go to Wilson Creek Winery for their almonde champagne!! YUMI! We are really excited - we have done this trip before and had a blast!! The hotel we are staying in is AWESOME - it's called Tower 23 and right on the beach (check it out at www.tower23.com) ! We have some friends that will be down there at the same time so we will be able to meet up with them which will be great! It will be a weekend of longboarding, spa treatments, good food...whats better than that?

That's it for now...I'll post pics soon..and lot's of them!

This is our now!

"Change is building an economy that rewards not just wealth, but the work and workers who created it. It's understanding that the struggles facing working families can't be solved by spending billions of dollars on more tax breaks for big corporations and wealthy CEOs, but by giving a the middle-class a tax break, and investing in our crumbling infrastructure, and transforming how we use energy, and improving our schools, and renewing our commitment to science and innovation. It's understanding that fiscal responsibility and shared prosperity can go hand-in-hand.... America, this is our moment. This is our time. Our time to turn the page on the policies of the past. Our time to bring new energy and new ideas to the challenges we face. Our time to offer a new direction for the country we love. The journey will be difficult. The road will be long. I face this challenge with profound humility, and knowledge of my own limitations. But I also face it with limitless faith in the capacity of the American people. Because if we are willing to work for it, and fight for it, and believe in it, then I am absolutely certain that generations from now, we will be able to look back and tell our children that this was the moment when we began to provide care for the sick and good jobs to the jobless; this was the moment when the rise of the oceans began to slow and our planet began to heal; this was the moment when we ended a war and secured our nation and restored our image as the last, best hope on Earth. This was the moment – this was the time – when we came together to remake this great nation so that it may always reflect our very best selves, and our highest ideals."
